We also have 10 Miniatures representing NPCs and Antagonists that Heroes could meet on their adventures. We’ve also designed and printed a huge Premium miniature that will be available as an Add On during our Crowd Funding Campaign.

Each of our prototypes are currently being modified for use with SiOCAST technology for large scale production made by Hard Sand Entertainment in the United States. We’ll be posting a blog in a few weeks about the SiOCast process, so stay tuned!

All miniatures will be delivered unpainted and unassembled.

10 NPC & Antagonist Miniatures

All miniatures pictured are 3D printed prototypes painted by Sean Deitrick.

Alkonost

Evolved over centuries to mimic the sounds and upper body of a human, the Alkonost is an ambush predator that hunts wary and lost travelers. Relying on the innate human desire to help those in trouble, the Alkonost calls out as if they are a lost traveler in need of aid, only revealing their true nature when it is too late to escape.

Ammion

The Apex predator of the Nile River region, Ammions are amphibious, but prefer to spend most of their time lying in the water, using the spines along their back to detect even the slightest vibration and ambush prey. Ammions employ their massive jaws and long sharp tusks to kill most creatures in a single bite, but also possess strong enough leg muscles to pursue injured creatures for short distances.

Banshee

One of the more commonly encountered Unliving, the Banshee is named for the ear-splitting scream it emits when it detects sentient life. Banshees move by floating above the ground on a mist of poisonous and magic infused smoke. Thanks to its powerful metal limbs and dark magic core, Banshees are able to lift creatures many times their own size and rip through all but the strongest barriers with their four arms. Like most other Unliving, Banshees get their energy from the sun and are most active during the day, meaning that despite the other threats, travel is often safer at night. Even if a Banshee is killed, their danger does not end, as their blood in poisonous, cursing the ground where they are slain, and capable of killing crops over a great distance if it seeps into local waterways. Due to this, savvy adventures prefer to avoid, confuse, or temporarily disable the Unliving rather than destroy them.

Death Bear

Despite its size and fearsome appearance, the Death Bear is a scavenger, not a predator. Even though they do not seek out animals to hunt, they are quite territorial and will attack if they sense competition for food or a threat. They serve a vital role in many ecosystems by removing decaying organic matter. Death Bears are most active at dawn, when the wind allows them to move more nimbly than their size would suggest and spends most of Anesidora’s long nights in hibernation. Due to their role in removing diseased matter and providing fertilizer for crops, many Exiled groups consider the Death Bear to be a sacred creature, making offers to encourage their presence.

Fairy

One of the only Unliving that communicates with humanity, Fairies are no less dangerous because they can be reasoned with. Fairies often appear when someone is down on their luck, offering a powerful in exchange for a terrible price. Though Fairies keep their end of the bargain to the letter, it will often lead to unintended consequences and making a deal with a Fairy can lead to worse consequences than trying to fight even the strongest of Unliving.

Lamia

One of the stranger creatures created by the Titan Kronos, the Lamia is part animal, part plant, and a threat to any humans unlucky enough to cross its path. Lamia are able to nearly disappear in dense forests, and able to go months at a time without moving or eating, instead relying on the sun for energy. Despite their vaguely humanoid appearance, Lamias are truly alien in nature.

Muse

One of the only types of Unliving not to attack humanity on sight, the Muse’s serve the Titan Mnemosyne and appear before events of great historical significance to observe. Since most historically significant events, such as battles, natural disasters, and political upheaval, are unpleasant to live through, seeing a Muse is a bad omen in many cultures.

Nyx Dog

Found throughout much of Anesidora, Nyx Dogs are an apex predator in nearly every ecosystem they are found, ranging from dense jungle to perpetually frozen mountain ranges. Nyx Dogs are most active at night, so with the threat of Unliving during the day travel on Anesidora is always dangerous. They live and hunt in matriarchal packs, employ advanced tactics indicative of far greater than animal intelligence. Though preferring easier prey, desperate enough Nyx Dog packs have been known to attack small towns.

Troll

Despite their appearance, Trolls are actually descended from humanity and serve as a powerful example of the mutagenic effects of the Titans. Possessed of Changes far beyond those more commonly found throughout the rest of humanity, Trolls are too different to survive in human societies and instead live in their own communities in some of the most desolate and frozen areas of Anesidora.

Wraith

While most spirits are confined to the realm of Hades, Wraiths are powerful enough to temporarily enter and interact with the physical world. Wraiths are a particularly difficult entity to fight, as they can strike seemingly from nowhere and fade back into Hades before they can be attacked. In order for a Wraith to manifest, it requires an immense source of magic power, so most are found at ancient holy sites, defending against anything they perceive as a threat.

Premium Miniature

In addition, we have created one massive premium miniature as an additional Add On!

The Ophanim

The most dangerous class of Unliving are the Angels, and this group includes the Ophanim. Ophanim are massive constructs of metal and energy whose very form defies the laws of physics. They glide along the ground on a cloud of magical energy and can move at speeds unmatched by any living creature or vehicle of humanity. For anything short of a large army, the best way to deal with an Ophanim is to seek shelter and pray you are not its target.
